Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Tashkent

Arrival at Tashkent Airport on flight HY-236 from Munich (20:05, Fridays only).

Meet and greet, followed by transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 2

Tashkent – Urgench (flight) – Khiva (30 km)

City tour of Tashkent: Khast-Imam Complex, Chorsu Bazaar.

Flight HY-55 (13:00–14:30) to Urgench, transfer to Khiva, and start of the sightseeing tour of Itchan-Kala.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 3

Khiva

Full-day sightseeing tour: Kalta Minor, Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Kunya Ark, Muhammad Rahim Khan Madrasah, Juma Mosque and Minaret, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Islam Khodja Madrasah, Tosh Hovli Palace, Allakuli Khan Madrasah, and Caravanserai.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 4

Khiva – Bukhara (480 km, approx. 8 hours)

Drive through the Kyzylkum Desert to Bukhara. Alternatively – if available – flight to Bukhara.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 5

Bukhara

Full-day city tour (as in the 8-day program). In the evening, enjoy a folklore show (if available).

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 6

Bukhara – Gijduvan – Nurata – Yangikazgan (yurt camp)

Drive to Gijduvan (visit to a local pottery family). On the way: ruins of the Rabat Malik Caravanserai.

Continue to Nurata (holy spring “Chashma-i-Ayub”; mosque from the 8th century; ruins of two ancient fortresses).

Arrival at the yurt camp in Yangikazgan. Short camel ride at the camp (approx. 10 minutes). Overnight stay in yurts (4–5 people per yurt).

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel, dinner at the yurt camp.

Day 7

Yangikazgan – Aydarkul Lake – Samarkand (345 km, approx. 5 hours)

Visit to Aydarkul Lake with the opportunity to swim. After lunch, continue to Samarkand. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch at the yurt camp.

Day 8

Samarkand

Full-day sightseeing tour: Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, Siyob Bazaar, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 9

Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Samarkand – Tashkent (high-speed train)

Drive over the Takhtakaracha Pass to the birthplace of Amir Temur. Sightseeing: Ak-Saray Palace, Dorut Saodat Complex (Khazrati Imam Mosque), Jahongir Mausoleum, and Dorut Tilovat (Gumbazi Seyidon, Kok Gumbaz).

Further visits: Afrosiyob Museum, Ulugbek Observatory, and the Konigil Silk Paper Center.

In the evening, take the Afrosiyob high-speed train (17:32–19:48) to Tashkent. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 10

Tashkent – Departure

Transfer to the airport for flight HY-235 to Munich (05:25, Sundays only).

Meals: No breakfast.
