Entering Uzbekistan is easier than ever for travelers today. In recent years, the country has modernized and significantly simplified its visa regulations to provide international guests with a comfortable start to their journey. Depending on nationality, various options are available – from visa-free entry to a fast e-visa.
Visa-free Entry
Citizens of many European countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, can enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days. A valid passport is sufficient. However, a visa is still required for longer stays or special travel purposes (e.g. study, work, journalism).
E-Visa for Uzbekistan
For nationals of countries without visa-free entry, Uzbekistan offers a convenient e-visa system.
The e-visa can be applied for online and is usually issued within a few days. It is suitable for tourist, business and private trips. The document is delivered digitally by email and must be presented upon entry together with the passport.
